Everyone who lives in Savannah knows about the Red Cat. However, no one can tell you exactly where or when they have seen this illusive feline.
I think that I saw the Red Cat at my back door when I lived on Liberty Street.He (or She) had a magical aura about him that gave a shimmering glow.Before i could focus on him, he vanished.
But when he left I had a very happy,contented feeling.
Local people believe that the Red Cat is one of Savannah's many ghosts.He has "been seen" cuddled up to a sleeping child when a window has been left open ,in a neighborhood square dozing in an old gentelman's lap or just floating down a moonlit cobblestone walk.Keep your eyes open while here in the low-country. Good luck follows those that catch a glimpse of the Red Cat.
